Alexis was born in Charlotte, NC and studied in Europe at the International School of Amsterdam. From an early age he was exposed to the real estate world. His father, an award winning FAIA architect, shared his passion for exterior design while his mother, a savvy real estate investor taught him fundamentals of smart investing while sharing her passion for inspiring interiors. After concentrating in moving image photography at the Santa Fe College of Art and Design in New Mexico, Alexis became a member of the International Cinematographers Guild and worked for over 15 years on feature films and TV starting in LA and then Brooklyn where he worked primarily on Tina Fey projects including 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Alexis was first introduced to the Hudson Valley when he purchased a huge barn in Woodstock and renovated it into a stylish Airbnb. After 8 years running a vacation rental in the area he eventually sold it as a successful business. His next project was the renovation of a late 1800's farm house in Rhinebeck, amazingly and coincidentally a town with a rich Dutch heritage and a Sinterklaas festival, where he eventually settled with his daughter while getting his real estate license so he could help others through the process he had learned to navigate so well while cultivating his own investment properties. With now over 14 years experience in the area, Alexis knowledge of the locals, vendors, and communities on both sides of the Hudson River is an asset that translates to educating his clients better and extends the range of properties he can represent and show. Alexis has an impressive track record of delivering exceptional results. He has an impeccable eye for detail and an ability to elevate his listings with unparalleled marketing and exposure proven time and again to deliver the best return for his clients. Alexis currently spends his time between NYC and the Hudson Valley. In his free time he enjoys composing images through his many lenses, riding his vintage BMW motorcycle, cooking, and mornings with Yoga Tim. He also enjoys reading, preferably in nature or at a local design hotel, as well as constantly exploring new areas including searching for local swimming holes!
