Alexandra Mann-Talmage was born and raised in New York. In the 1930s her grandparents bought a summer home on Further Lane, East Hampton, on the double dunes surrounded by potato fields. In that summer retreat her family and friends enjoyed weekend horseback rides in the fields off Further Lane. As Alexandra grew, she inherited her family's love of horses and of the East End, taking her first riding lessons at the Topping family farm in Sagaponack. In 1978 Alexandra became a full-time resident of East Hampton and soon started working as a student at Pheasant Run Stables. One year later she began competing in nationally sanctioned equestrian show jumping events. By 1991 Alexandra had joined the staff of Two Trees Stables as an instructor and there she enjoyed a successful nineteen-year career. Today she still maintains her affiliation with the Topping Riding Club, where her equestrian experience began. She is also a horse show judge and has officiated at several prominent national shows. Due to her familiarity with the area and her awareness of the market, the transition into real estate was natural for Alexandra. In addition to enabling her to successfully build enduring relationships with clients, her traits as an equestrian translated well into the real estate market, where she displays great patience, passion, persistence and expertise. Alexandra is a reliable and steady individual with numerous connections throughout the East End, and her uncompromising commitment assures her clients of dynamic guidance every step of the way. Alexandra's combined experiences in the equestrian world, her ties to the community and knowledge of the area and its history provide her with a unique and diverse perspective on the East End. Alexandra is married to Thomas A. Talmage, a direct descendant of one of the founding families on the East End. They have three children.
