Mr. Secor returned to the private practice of law, joining the Law Firm of Thomas & Thomas June 1, 2018. Before returning to private practice he worked with the Trust Departments of SunTrust Bank, CapitalMark Bank & Trust, now Pinnacle Bank, and Southeastern Trust Company, a division of FSG Bank, now Atlantic Capital Bank,.  Prior to starting a banking career in March of 1995, he was in the private practice of law for 29 years emphasizing probate and estate planning and state and federal taxation. He received his B.B.A. in Accounting in 1963 and a J.D. in 1966 from Emory University and his L.L.M. in Taxation from New York University in 1968. He is the author of the
