My name is Aaron Meusborn, and I am a financial advisor with Edward Jones in Springfield, MO. My wife, Rachael, and I are Missouri natives; I grew up in Sedalia and she in Purdy. We met at Southwest Baptist University (SBU) in Bolivar and have been in the Springfield area for about 10 years.My grandpa grew up very poor. After a lifetime of hard work, saving and investing, he and my grandma lived a comfortable retirement traveling the world. When my brother and I were young, he told us about the importance of investing for retirement – the younger we started, the better off we would be. At the age of 15, with a few hundred dollars that my grandpa helped me save, we visited the local Edward Jones branch and a financial advisor met with me. He was genuinely interested in my goals and helped me start preparing. Shortly after, my grandpa passed away, but I continued to live out his words of wisdom. I invested as much as I could from my summer jobs, with a dream of someday working for Edward Jones and helping others achieve their financial dreams for the future. At SBU, I received a degree in business management and international business, with a minor in economics and finance. I completed my MBA in management and strategy, while gaining valuable experience in the banking industry where I worked for six years. During that time, my wife completed her doctorate program and is now a practicing physical therapist.Together, we try to help our community realize the connection between financial and physical health – both of which help us live more balanced lives.
