As a child, finances were always limited. Hand-me-downs prevented me from being "in-style" and I was not a stranger to hunger. During this time, I witnessed children from the "other side of the tracks" living comfortable lifestyles. I began reading every financial piece I came across to discover the missing link from the haves and have-nots. I sought an education in economics and finance. I graduated without debt and began helping others. I continue to learn through ongoing courses, certifications and continuing education. I chose Edward Jones because the firm most closely aligned with my passion of teaching, helping and serving others.Outside of work: Having self-published three works of fiction, I enjoy writing. I also love everything outdoors: camping, hiking, mountain biking and traveling.Philanthropy: I served 10 years on the Sheriff's Search and Rescue. I've served on boards and committees. I currently enjoy being a part of the Benicia Soroptimist - for the betterment of women - and the Sons of the American Legion - to honor our Veterans. With five sisters, I grew up surrounded by women. Generally speaking, women are overlooked in the financial realm; most advisors are focused on men - the traditional breadwinners. Historically, this may have been true, but this has changed. It is time that women receive the same attention and importance as their male counterparts. Regardless of gender, I best serve my clients by being open and honest. I gain trust over time by putting the interests of my clients first and foremost. When acting as a fiduciary, I educate by discussing all of the options, the cost and fees, and then help decide on the best solution based on your goals and needs (not mine).
