Ms. Waters began building her legal career first in the Schenectady County District Attorney's Office, where she acquired experience in a broad variety of criminal law issues. Following that internship, she served as a Summer Law Clerk in General Counsel's Office of the New York State Department of State, assisting with legislative memos, bill drafting, FOIL issues, and other administrative law matters. She then capped off her legal internships by serving as a legal intern for the Albany Law School Clinic and Justice Center in their Tax and Transactions Clinic. Her last semester in law school was spent assisting both individual and organizational clients with matters with the IRS and New York State Department of Taxation, with a special emphasis on clients seeking 501(c)(3) tax status.
