Andrew Berman: As a top performer, what gives you that competitive edge?
Kevin Murphy: I think the biggest thing is just being available when the clients need you. On the weekends, at night time when they are trying to put an offer in. You have to be available to give them the numbers they need, to get their offer in, especially as competitive as the market is right now. If you’re not there and not ready, then your client’s missing out.
Andrew Berman: How much does your online reputation matter?
Kevin Murphy: Especially with the millennials nowadays, everybody’s just online, all the time. They’re on their phones all the time, on their computers all the time, some people don’t even want to talk to you on the phone, they just want to text and email. It’s a different world then when I started 25 years ago. So it’s very important that we have a good reputation and maintain that online presence.
