The Virtual Hiring Event provides employers the opportunity to post positions in our system to a mass audience of potentially qualified job seekers. This event is free for employers.
The Virtual Hiring Event is held during the Spring semester. The Virtual Hiring Event is open exclusively to students and alumni of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is hosted through the EagleHire Network.
What is the Virtual Hiring Event?
The Virtual Hiring Event is an opportunity for employers to post positions in the EagleHire Network, our online career management system, with maximum exposure. The event is heavily marketed to students and alumni through email blasts, announcements on the EagleHire Network, and through social networking mediums such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, and our blog. This ensures that your positions will be viewed by a large number of candidates who may meet the minimum criteria to apply.
How does it work?
Employers must register for the event through the EagleHire Network. Once registered, employers will be contacted with further instructions on how to post jobs to the event. The deadline to submit jobs is Thursday, February 6, 2013.
Candidates will have access to preview positions in the system during the weekend prior to the start of the Virtual Hiring Event. On the morning of the start of the event, positions will open to allow candidates to apply, and will remain open through Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 11:59pm EST. If you have indicated that you would like to receive resumes via email, you will receive them in a .pdf bundle Friday morning. Otherwise, resumes will be routed to you through whatever means you indicated, as candidates apply.
How is this different from a Virtual Career Fair?
The Virtual Hiring Event differs from a virtual career fair in that there are no virtual booths or means for employers and candidates to openly communicate during the event. The event is hosted in the EagleHire Network, our online career management system.
