ResumeBear.com decided to take a look at some workplaces in Silicon Valley – ranging from the huge and high-profile, including Google and Facebook, to the smaller and less well-known workplaces, such as Gaia and Tagged.
What did they find? Well, first off, it appears that having a foosball table is mandatory in Silicon Valley. But who would have guessed that Facebook offered on-site leather repair? If you find you constantly have shaggy hair, Google’s free haircuts might be attractive. Tagged’s unlimited time off certainly piqued our interest, while Eventbrite’s “Zen room” soothed our souls. LinkedIn’s stocked ice cream freezer just made us hungry. Twitter offers its employees the opportunity to make wine – and to do it for charity, no less! And Gaia offering days off “for developing skills in other areas” shows a real commitment to expanding its employees’ horizons.
Most of these companies have ended up on “best places to work” lists in various publications, and after looking at this infographic, it’s not hard to see why. Take a look at let us know what you think!
