Take your job search out of the house

Spending hours a day drafting resumes, writing cover letters and submitting applications for premium entry level jobs and paid internships can certainly take a toll on you. To help energize yourself and escape the monotony of your job hunt, you might want to consider getting out of the house for a change of scenery. Here are some possible locations to continue your career search around town.

Cafes
You’ll likely need internet access to continue looking up available positions, so consider heading to a local cafe or coffee shop with Wi-Fi. Here, you can enjoy a delicious cup of java and a few baked treats while you navigate online job boards and email hiring managers.

Friend’s house
If you’re in need of some companionship to make the job hunt more enjoyable, visiting another unemployed friend is a good place to start. Together, you can share your frustrations and experiences with employers while also giving each other tips and suggestions about how to improve your application processes.

Library
Sometimes you just need a quiet place to work that gets you away from the distractions of home like TV, video games or your family members. In these instances, heading to your local library is the perfect way to stay productive without worrying about annoying interruptions.
