The world of recruiting is changing every day. The tried-and-true practices of past generations of recruiters have all but gone by the wayside as the digital age ushers in a revolutionary era of hiring strategies. Technologies such as social media websites, talent communities, mobile apps and email have had a major impact on the way hiring managers identify and evaluate potential hires for their organizations.
Next month, Ere.net will be hosting the Recruiting Innovation Summit in order to showcase and educate companies about upcoming technologies in the recruiting industry. The event will be held at the Computer History Museum on May 17 and 18 in Mountain View, California.
The conference will feature a brand new startup competition, in which six companies will compete for a $10,000 grand prize based on their advances in recruiting technology, according to the Recruiting Innovation Summit website. Out of 50 applicants, GooodJob, Lab of Apps, Ongig, Mystery Applicant, TraitPerception and Venturocket were selected for the running. In addition to presenting their developments for the grand prize, each organization will have the chance to meet with major recruiting companies and discuss the future of hiring.
